Our story
A flavor born in 1970
Cafetería y Lonchería El Padrino No. 1 was founded in 1970 by Mr. José Luciano Carranza Guerrero in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
The business name was inspired by the popularity of the movie The Godfather, creating a memorable identity that became part of the local tradition.
It began with traditional beef sandwiches and beef tacos. Over the years, breakfast plates, daily specials, menudo, burritos and more homemade-style dishes were added.
